In November, JCI The Netherlands is hosting the 2017 JCI World Congress. Will you be there?

JCI is a nonprofit organization of young active citizens age 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in their communities. Active citizens are individuals invested in the future of our world. JCI gathers active citizens from all sectors of society. We develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to make informed decisions and take action. As globally minded young people, we all have rights, responsibilities and share goals.

Prairie Regional Speakers Announced


The team at JCI Winnipeg is working hard to get ready for this year's Prairie Regional Convention where we welcome Chapters from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for a weekend of education and fellowship.

We have many fantastic speakers lines up such as Jessica Dumas of Prime Image Life Coaching and Sachit Mehra of East India Company.  JCI Winnipeg is also excited to host JCI Canada National President Shawn McMillan to facilitate an Effective Leadership Workshop.

2017 JCI Winnipeg Effective Speaking Workshop


Please join us for our annual Effective Speaking Training Seminar. 


This is a free event to all of our JCI Winnipeg Members and only $25.00 for non-members. If you choose to become a member that day, you will save $25.00 off your annual membership fee. 

This is an open event for anyone wishing to upgrade your public speaking skills and network with young professionals. 

Speaker Update! 


Niigaanwewidam James Sinclair is Anishinaabe (St. Peter's/Little Peguis) and an Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba. He is an award-winning writer, editor and activist who was named one of Monocle Magazine's "Canada's Top 20 Most Influential People" and one of the CBC Manitoba's "Top Forty Under Forty." He is a regular commentator on Indigenous issues on CTV, CBC, and APTN, and his written work can be found in the pages of newspapers like The Guardian and online with CBC Books: Canada Writes. His first book on Anishinaabeg literary traditions will be coming out with the University of Minnesota Press in 2017.

Rumor's Comedy Night with Jermaine Fowler

Join us for a night of laughs and fun at a JCI Winnipeg fundraiser at Rumors Comedy Club! 
Tickets are only $12 and part of every ticket purchased goes towards helping JCI Winnipeg to continue their leadership and community support projects.

Doors open at 6pm (there is a full licensed menu available), come out by 7:30 to secure a good seat, and the show starts at 8pm. 

Comedian:  
Raised in Hyattsville, Maryland, Jermaine Fowler began performing stand-up in 2006 while still in high school. On his 20th birthday he moved to NYC on a Megabus with three pieces of luggage and a dream. Before building a buzz with stand-up, Jermaine was featured in promos for McDonalds, Sobe, and Sports Illustrated. In 2012, Jermaine was one of the “New Faces” at the Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival and was invited back the following year to tape Funny as Hell for HBO. He’s toured nationally with College Humor, Comedy Central on Campus, and has one half of the internet sketch group BodegaCat Sanchez, alongside Kevin Barnett. He’s been featured on two seasons of MTV2′s Guy Code, @Midnight, and Comedy Underground with Dave Attell. He’s the co-creator, writer, and star of the hilarious sketch TV series, Friends of The People on TruTV and most recently can be seen on his Showtime special GIVE ‘EM HILL KID.

JCI Winnipeg Winter Soiree

Join us in celebrating our organization at our Annual Winter Soiree!  At this event, we will be swearing in the 2017 Board of Directors as well as recognizing the 2016 achievements of our members. 

The dinner will take place at Le Garage Cafe in St. Boniface, with the swearing in of the new board taking place at 5:00 pm and dinner to follow. Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend. Dress code is business casual.

Non-members - $75
